Project Launch and joint fieldwork
The Heidelberg team and all staff members in Nepal joined forces to launch the project and begin the process of documentation in Kathmandu / Patan. Architects, draftsmen, photographers, anthropologists, philologists, digital humanities staff, and historians conducted field-work together with project leaders Christiane Brosius and Axel Michaels.
In addition to this, the team established the infrastructures necessary to facilitate close collaborative work across international borders.
